dum de dum... [Feb. 6th, 2009|12:07 pm]

I need more work on my spanish... jejeje...

sleepin with the fishes [Jan. 16th, 2009|11:35 am]
Coon update. Either it snuck in regardless of my awesome barricade, or I managed to barricade it *in* rather than *out*. Regardless, father with a .22, and me with a wooden bokken and a couple heftys, and we made the problem disappear mafioso style. I feel a twinge of guilt, but more relief knowing we won't have some feral animal right under our feet that might bite or scratch us, or maul our doggy in the face.

Damn big one too, a good 40 pounds. Father made the suggestion of making a hat (after he suggested cooking it in the fireplace). He was joking, but the look of horror on mother's face was totally awesome.

Raccoon in the basement [Jan. 14th, 2009|08:50 pm]
So there's currently a raccoon in the basement. My sister's first thought? Hit it with a shovel, make it come out, snap a photo and hit it with the shovel some more.

Me: "NO"

I set up a trap, possibly too small since it's primarily for squirrels, but we'll see. When I was grabbed it out of the garage, parents ask if I want to kill it with a remi .22

Me: "... really?"

Won't do it, it likes hanging out near a large window (whoops, I missed?), cleaning up afterwards would suck ass, and hearing its death squeals would likely give me bad sleep. Will try trapping it first, then make raccoon popsicles since it's gonna be -2 degrees tomorrow.

Good luck me!

(no subject) [Jan. 11th, 2009|05:02 pm]
So I started writing again. Main project is an eva fic I started some years back, admittedly for a pron-writing contest whose theme was submission/domination, but I totally wimped out on actually writing hot lesbian action, and felt discouraged when I found the limits of my writing ability to be rather less than I wanted. Regardless, revived that with hopes of topping it out at around 15k words in three chapters spanning three days. First chapter I got down, second one is about 75% finished before pre-reading. Don't think I'm putting in lesbian lovin, but the sub/dom dynamic I do want to retain since it's development is rather central to the story. Slow going cause I'm trying to maneuver characters where they can act contrary to their nature in a believable fashion, and workin on improving weak points in my writing in the mean time.

Side project includes an RP which sadly has only two people. Some reviewer for said fic responded enthusiastically to my cry for pre-reading and motivational whipper. Decided I'd be fun to RP with, and set up a forum where we do Evangelion set in Fallout. Apparently was impressed since they badger me constantly for posts. Forum also has a random snippets section where I throw together whatever scenes pop into my head and feel like writing. Eva stuff spurred by random AIM convos like Eva DBZ style, Final Fantasy Eva, or most recently, Evangelion where Nerv is a generic supermarket, and the three Children are grunt workers there. Gendo is still a dick. ^_^

so... uh yeah... [Apr. 17th, 2008|07:24 pm]
So it's been almost a matter of boasting that I would kill insects and stuff by shooting a rubber band. It takes a little aim if you stand a bit of a distance, and it's surprisingly fun to do, if disgusting.

So we had a little mouse problem in our house... I kinda took one of them thick rubber bands, and I think I ended up hitting it just right to break it's neck...

...
...

I kill mice with rubber bands.

Sooooo... I have a girlfriend...

moods alternate between that giddy/melty of the enthralled, a slightly bewildered surprise bordering on skepticism, and a bemused realization that only a couple people think this is really really really exciting.

ah nostalgia... [Jan. 31st, 2008|02:07 am]
So I've always had a soft spot for video games, specifically, lil ole rpgs. One RPG had always stood out to me, a real old-school tactical turn based pc gem I had always known as "Saga" that I played back in 1995. It ran off of DOS, was all in korean so I had no idea what the characters were talking about, or what the hell a "podo juu" was for, but it was probably my first PC rpg. The unique part of the game was that you had a diplomacy option to talk down the morale of your enemies, or even make them join your army if you're charismatic enough. Only bosses and stupid monsters were immune to this talking down, and you could nab some interesting members if you got lucky.

In any case, the game is called Graystone Saga, even has a sequel (number 2 of the same name), and somehow, some way, I managed to locate this relic of my childhood despite not having known the exact name of the game and it being totally in Korean.

~grin~ I feel geeky and nostalgic...

To all whom it may concern [Jun. 22nd, 2007|04:49 am]
So I sat in the attic,
A piano at my nose,
And the wind played a dreadful cantata (cantata...).
Sore was I from the crack of an enemys hose,
And the horrible sound of tomato (tomato...).

Ketchup (ketchup)
Soup and puree (soup and puree),
Dont get left behind (get left behind)...

When a rattle of rats had awoken,
The sinews, the nerves and the veins.
My piano was boldly outspoken, in attempts to repeat its refrain.

So I stood with a knot in my stomach,
And I gazed at that terrible sight
Of two youngsters concealed in a barrel,
Sucking monkberry moon delight.

Monkberry moon delight,
Monkberry moon delight.

Well, I know my banana is older than the rest,
And my hair is a tangled beretta.
When I leave my pajamas to billy budapest,
And I dont get the gist of your letter (your letter...).

Catch up! (catch up),
Cats and kittens (cats and kittens),
Dont get left behind (get left behind)...

Monkberry moon delight...
Monkberry moon delight...

~~~
Half the song ain't Monkberry moon delight... That's something... XD
Highlights of the night
- Mother going overboard because she was afraid there WASN'T ENOUGH FOOD. Kalbi... Spring Rolls... Korean Royal Palace fare... Dear lord...
- Three grill pits to seat some 14 people. To be honest, we weren't sure whether our decrepit little porch wouldn't break.
- displacing family birds because they made a nest on top of the porch light about 6 feet away from where we were dining. They hovered around for a while... And I'm pretty sure we made their eggs smell like kalbi... mmmm...
- Kagron's Creme Brulee (soooo yummy) and Baklava! I care not for spelling, for these were deliciousness.
- Watching the contemplative look on Smylie's face gradually turn into "o..m...G TASTEGASM" when biting into a spring roll.
- Oh yeah, although Smylie eventually made it, the fact that he *COULDN'T come at the appointed time, and that this fact was killing him?
- Mother's friend telling off color and dirty jokes, most of which were TOTALLY missed by everyone else...
- Monkberry moon delight. I'd like to Twish that again like to leap my sum up.
- The anime playing unnoticed in the background near where mother, mother's friend, father and Dyson Daddy were chatting that featured one guy pushing another guy down onto a bed and groping inside his shirt while licking his neck. When Mr. D was talking to me, positioned so that he was turned totally away from the TV, while I could see EVERY SINGLE THING THAT WAS GOING ON... Yeah, I was about to burst out laughing.
My dad brought home 22 lb worth of alaskan king crab today... It tasted like happy... ^_^
Actually, we have a bunch of it frozen since we only had a pot big enough to cook perhaps a fourth of it, but the general consensus is that it is made of yummy!
lol...wtf? [Sep. 1st, 2006|03:08 am]
hahaha... so here's an odd fanfic mix I've come across recently... Firefly (post Serenity) with Harry Potter... Harry is a bit Gary Stu, but I'm kinda liking this fic, even if it's relishing in horrifyingly terrible bits like Harry "finding" fresh donuts in space and passing them out to distract the Serenity crew from wondering how he fixed some wierd doo-hickey instrument that looks like a cauliflower...
...yeah... XD
